The nice thing about being 42 (when I made the announcement to my family that I recently got my bike) is that when you are treated like a foolish teenager, you can just ignore it and get on with life. One of the documented traits of a Savage owner (WDO college project, spring of 2000) is that we, as a group, have a good sized/healthy ego and are independent.
You should have heard what my family thought when I gave my 15 year daughter a Honda scooter!
Of course, with your record Ron, you have an up hill battle. What were you thinking of, getting on your bike without a helmet... you could always try the old "but I've learned my lesson" line. The good thing is that they probably are really concerned about you, I guess.
